I’m Iain Barker, a highly experienced human centred designer, service designer, design researcher, facilitator, coach and trainer.
I was a co-founder of the much lauded Meld Studios and have been working in HCD for over 30 years.
Amongst other things Meld Studios were awarded:
- ‘2024 Good Design Team of the Year’
- ‘2018 Good Design Award of the Year’
- 2024 named by the Australian Financial Review in the Top 5 Best Places to Work in the Professional Services industry across Australia and NZ.
I enjoy helping public and private sector organisations make decisions that lead to better outcomes using a heady mix of customer insight, collaboration, open-mindedness, failing forwards fast/learning quickly (depending on your preference) and by always seeing things within a broader systems context.
Nowadays I either partner directly with organisations or pull together a network of like-minded souls for impactful partnerships.
I mainly live and work on Gayamagal land in Sydney’s Northern Beaches – but I am available to work wherever you may be.
